A Mention Is Not a Reason to Add a Step
Being talked about is attention. Attention is not a hole in your routine.

Products get mentioned because they are useful to someone, or because they are easy to describe. Your shelf does not know the difference. Adding a step because it appeared in a conversation imports their gap into your bathroom. You may not have that gap. You may already have three versions of it. The mention feels like information. Often it is only repetition.
The filter is the same as for a launch. What job is this. Do you already fill that job. If yes, the mention is a note, not a purchase. If no, one new step, alone, for a month. A list of ten mentioned products is ten invitations to skip that filter. Accept one at most, and only for a job you can point at on your own face.
Skin gets better at things you repeat, not at things you heard. Let the mention end when the conversation ends. The routine should still be recognizable tomorrow.
