How to Choose a Moisturizer Without a Ranking
The right cream is the weight your skin can wear every night, not the winner of a test.

Rankings of moisturizers pretend one cream won. Skin types do not share a winner. A rich cream that saves a tight cheek will congest an oily jaw. A gel that feels elegant on oily skin will abandon a dry one by midnight. The choice is the weight you will still use, and whether the face feels comfortable twenty minutes later and the next morning.
Start from the failure you have. Tight after washing: you need more lipid, or a gentler cleanser, often both. Shiny and clogged: you may still need water, under a lighter lotion, not a ban on moisturizer. Pilling under sunscreen: the cream is too much, or you are layering three serums under it. Change the cream or remove a layer. Do not add a fourth.
Give one moisturizer two weeks. If you wake up comfortable, not greasy and not taut, it is doing the job a ranking cannot certify. Sunscreen remains separate in the daytime. A night cream does not replace it, and a prize on the jar does not replace the two-week test.
